Betsie is a sweet, low-key princess seeking a calm, quiet, and stable home where she can relax and watch the world go by with her best friend—could that be you?

This beautiful 8-year-old pittie mix has faced some challenges, having been surrendered to a Philly shelter multiple times through no fault of her own. Now, she's ready to be pampered for the rest of her life. In return, Betsie will reward you with joyful tail wags, a sweet smile, and the cutest little snores as she naps by your side.

She gets along well with other calm friendly dogs, but given her past, she'll need a family that can provide her with the time and space to settle in and feel comfortable.

Poor Betsy has had a rough early life, and this lady also unfortunately has a few medical conditions that will require ongoing management by her new owners. She came to us with a terrible skin infection with fur loss and scarring, that was left untreated for a very long time. We have been able to clear her infections and she is doing great on a daily allergy medication! There is a chance in the future she can wean off this medication, depending on how her skin maintains over time! Betsy also has some urinary incontinence and cystitis - or bladder inflammation, that is much improved on a urinary diet and with some incontinence medications, but is also something that will need ongoing management. For these reasons, we do consider her special needs, though she is doing very well at this stage in the game! And despite her medical hurdles, this girl is just so sweet, and she has truly been failed by people her entire life. We are just hoping and praying that someone sees past her medical needs to the beautiful and sweet, mellow angel that she is ...and is willing to give her a chance.
